Moteleone di Puglia, Italy 2016 for Willoke Festival.
This wall is located in the Piazza Municipio of Monteleone di Puglia city in Italy. The morning of August 23, 1942 in this same square came the first popular uprising against the fascist regime. Hundreds of women took to shout in protest against food restrictions. Women, children and elderly were arrested by the fascist authorities, many of the detainees remained in prison for fourteen months. This wall speaks about the role occupied by women during war periods, about their caring for households, families and lands, a task largely silenced throughout history.
Special thanks to Maria Elena and Maximiliano for all the care, thanks to all the people that took part in this project and all neighbors for their friendship and hospitality.
¨Convivencia¨(Coexistence) Soloshow at Dorothy Circus Gallery, Rome, Italy 2016.
¨Taking the concept of coexistence from a broad perspective, this project proposes a reflection on different human behaviors, conscious and unconscious, that lead us to question why we live as we live and why we live in this way with others. Not only addresses the issue of coexistence from a social, institutional or relational experience reflection, but also from the dynamics involved and whose everyday manifestations can be favorable or not for the life of people.¨
¨A la fresca¨Fanzara, Spain 2016.
In the villages is conserved the habit during the hot nights to take the chairs out to the doors to get some fresh air, chat with the neighbors or simply allowed themselves moments of not to do, ability that we have lost in the cities where we live more accelerated times.
Many speacial thanks to Maria Jose and Juanjo for all the love and care to me and my kids, thanks to the organization people for inviting us and looking after us, love to all Fanzara neighbors for their hospitality.
¨Morriña¨ Paço Cultura, Carballo, Galicia, Spain 2016 for Rexenera Fest.
Morriña is a word of the Galician language that describes a feeling of nostalgia that linked to an anthropological point of view brings us closer to the culture as a provider of all that is not a product of nature. In this case the blanket metaphorically represents culture and all those traditions and customs that are lost with the evolution of modern times.
Special thanks for the organization and the pics to Mutante Creativo & A.L.Crego
¨Autogestione¨(Self-management) Roma, Italy 2016.
This wall is located next to the social house Porto Fluviale. These social centers were born as a possibility of snagging a piece of the city. It is said that Rome is a city where most of this houses have been consolidated. Located in abandoned spaces, thanks to squatting and self-management, have been restored to the inhabitants of the area. (curated by Dorothy Circus Gallery).

¨War impact in children lives¨
Both armed conflict and violence that trigger affects the lives of many children in differents parts of the world. In addition to the direct consequences of war and armed violence they are also indirectly affected by displacement, loss of family and trauma caused by the acts of violence they witness. This wall is intended to give voice to all the lost innocence, all children who are fighting for their own survival, unable, in front of the eyes of all, to live a childhood as they deserve.
Special thanks to all the people that took part in the organization of this project. Thanks to Henrik Haven for the photos.
¨Samexistens¨(Coexistence)- Trollhatan, Sweden 2016. Trollhatan Street Art Festival curated by Ekta Ekta.
¨This wall is located in Trollhattan town, Southwest of Sweden. In October 2015 a 21 years old Swedish man attacked some children with a sword in a school. One student and one adult died, and one more student and adult were seriously injured, the last one died at the hospital six weeks after the attack. Investigations confirmed that the reason behind the attack was “racist motives” and that it was a “hate crime” choosing the victims because of their ethnicity and the school for its location in a neighbourhood with many inmigrant population.
Trollhättan has been considered by researchers as the most highly segregated city in Sweden. Surveys frequently show Sweden to be the European country which is most tolerant of immigration, although its population is polarised on the issue.
This wall speaks about coexistence, not from a perspective of institutionalized solidarity, or an asymetrical cut, a movement from top to bottom, but from understanding it as a basic duty for every human, based on emphaty, on compassion, inherent to the fact of meeting people and generating a relationship of mutual giving and receiving.¨
Many special thanks to Ekta Ekta and Mattia Lullini for all the love and care, thanks to all the people that took part on the project and to Trollhattan neighbors for their support. Many thanks to all the artists for the great time shared.
¨Contradiction¨(Contradicción) Madrid, Spain 2016.
This wall speaks about the internal contradictions with which we live, conflicts arising from opposite desires of the relationship that we maintain with things, people and ideas. A constant state of negation and acceptance of who we are and what we want to be, thoughts based on ideals and socially set patterns that take us away from the reality of the present and the understanding of who we truly are.
Many special thanks to Remedios Vincent for inviting me to take part in this project, many thanks to all the neighbors fromVallecas for their support, company and nice sharing talks.
Special thanks to “Guillermo de la Madrid /Escrito en la pared” for the photos.
